The Calefactor is a furnace that runs on Raw Essence.
The Calefactor is essentially a magic furnace with a critical smelt slot to the right. However, it needs a line of Raw Essence to function rather than burning fuel.
By default, you will get the same amount of burn time from the Calefactor as a regular furnace if you throw a single coal into the nexus.
With no foci in it, the Calefactor cooks items 20% slower than a regular furnace. However, it is over 100% faster with 3 Charge Foci.
The Calefactor only consumes essence when burning an item, and gives XP for smelted items same as a Furnace.
There is a slight chance the Calefactor creates some additional Vinteum Dust while smelting, which ends up in the critical smelt slot.
Calefactors do not work well with hoppers.
Charge Foci both make the Calefactor charge faster and cook items faster. However, it uses much more essence per tick to smelt.
|Base Essence use per tick||0.1|
|Base cook time:||240 ticks (20% slower than a normal furnace which is 200)|
|Formula for essence consumed/tick:||[Base Essence use] * (3 ^ [Number of Charge Foci]) * (0.5 ^ [Number of Mana Foci])|
|Formula for cook time:||[Base Cook Time] * (0.7 ^ [Number of Charge Foci]|
- Shift-clicking on the Vinteum Dust in the bottom right slot will not auto-send to inventory.
|Beta_3.12||Fixed duplication bug|
|5.25.022||Now gives experience when shift clicking smelted items out of it|
